Ventura Marathon Training Program

Whether you’re looking to finish your first half or full marathon or striving for that PR we aim to provide a great training program to get you there.

The Ventura Running Club will be offering a 16 week training program for this year's Ventura Marathon and Half Marathon on February 27th! The program starts on November 7th although you can join as late as December 6th.

The program will include:

- 2 supported runs. We will set up water refill stations for you so you do not have to carry as much.

- Weekly group runs on Sunday mornings. These are a simple meet up run Sunday mornings at 7:30am at the base of the Ventura Pier. 

- On-Line General Training Plan (various levels to choose from.) Your training schedule will be provided online through


The cost is $39 and includes an Awesome fully sublimated lightweight Ventura Running Club tech shirt (these will arrive in December or January.) 


Sunday Mornings - Starting Nov. 7th at 7:30am


Full Marathon Program - Be able to comfortably run 8 miles before early November.

1/2 Marathon Program - Be able to comfortably run 5 miles before early November.
